Carima El-Behairy

A well-spoken, well known public leader with the ability to speak at a moment’s notice, whether it be to a donor, staff or the press, with 30+ years managerial and business experience, having engaged in everything from day-to-day operations to strategic planning and staff training and donor relations. 

Carima is a result orientated individual, able to see the details that create the large picture with the ability to move the pieces when necessary to achieve the desired goals. A hard worker and understands the job does not end at 5pm, but when the job is complete.

 An approachable leader, with clear boundaries and expectations, providing regular feedback, while keeping lines of communication open and transparent.

Carima is a combination of a Participative and Transformational Leader. Having the vision or idea and then by design, works with everyone gathering input on how to make it happen. She realizes that garnering feedback may slow the process initially, but once all details are resolved, the project moves very quickly and smoothly. People are always involved in the process, but she ultimately makes the final decision. She leads by example, expecting those around her to have the same passion or commitment and tries to foster that same passion in employees. She can be direct, but welcomes the opportunity to mentor when required.
